Gunn was most well-known for her role as Skyler on AMC's Breaking drama. Gunn was nominated to win her role in the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in the Drama Series for her performance, winning in 2013 and 2014. She also wrote an opinion article in August 2013 for The New York Times, discussing the negative reception of her role as a character.
